In Which I Complain About Precipitation (Again)

The weather in New York City today may be eligible for some kind of award. I'm thinking along the lines of Most Dismal, Soul-Sucking Crap Imaginable (So Far This Year).

I don't have any idea what you'd call the stuff that's coming out of the sky right now. It's like some sort of cold, hard, tangible manifestation of hate. I know, I know - that makes it sound like it would be right up my alley. But as it turns out it just means my socks and pant legs were soaked through with horrible slushy material, and people seemed very keen to slip and fall down the stairs at the subway station.

I arrived at my apartment a cold, quivering animal, incapable of human speech and seeking only warmth and safety. Hooray for spring.

It was 80 and sunny here today.

How're you, dearie? Hopefully all went well in New York.

o.O
* .. uhg. It's random acts of seemingly-malicious crud that has forced me to check "status" reports of throughways right before heading out to work or school starting about a month ago.
Prime example, the freeway to work was a relative straight-shot to work (maybe 35-40 min commute) and just all-of-a-sudden, the San Jo' city decides to "catch-up" on work they've been putting off for who knows how long, making the commute an hour-plus trip of steeringwheel-headbanging and obscenities for one and all. It's not like they're working on one part, they've got over 4 side contruction sites working on the damn thing. And it's one of the few good ways to head north. *.O! .. *sigh*.
Moral of above dilemma, get shit-faced enough to last undesirable commute and maybe do something for entertainment, i.e., "snow"-boarding, spraying slush on people. :D

At times like these, one must learn to go with the flow and embrace the suck. I trust you are doing well, ma'am.
